One week after GST reforms 2.0 implementation, survey has revealed who benefited the most from GST rate cuts.

The government recently introduced major changes to GST rates, lowering taxes on nearly 400 items. The new rates came into effect on September 22 on the first day of Navratri. But according to a survey, the benefits of this cut have not been the same across all categories.

The LocalCircles survey, which covered around 78,000 respondents, found that fewer than 3 out of 10 customers buying packaged food or medicines saw any benefit from the GST reduction. However 9 out of 10 vehicle buyers said they experienced savings after GST reforms. For electronics and large household appliances, 6 out of 10 buyers reported benefiting.
