Hamas’s terrorist network has spent more than two decades infiltrating North American campuses and media. Its stated goal is to hijack the narrative and secure support for terrorism from the broader public. And according to Lara Burns — an attorney, retired FBI agent and current head of terrorism research at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. — Hamas’s strategy worked.
In an interview with the Post’s Terry Newman, Burns explains that the Muslim Brotherhood, a global Islamist movement, seeks to impose a strict interpretation of Islamic law and has used Hamas as its armed wing to counter the secular Palestine Liberation Organization and oppose Israel’s existence.
