The results of the vote by Alberta teachers on a tentative labour agreement with the province are coming later today.
Tens of thousands of educators started casting ballots Saturday morning, with voting set to wrap at 5 p.m. today.
The vote numbers will be released tonight at 6 p.m., with Alberta Teachers’ Association president Jason Schilling addressing the media.
Talks between the teachers and the province have been contentious, with ATA members in June voting overwhelmingly in favour of strike action.
The province had accused the ATA of bargaining in bad faith, and filed a complaint with the labour relations board to settle a dispute about the outstanding issues between the parties.
