Union Minister Piyush Goyal addressed the Valedictory Session of the UP International Trade Show in Greater Noida, highlighting India’s remarkable economic transformation under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He recalled how India was once seen as part of the “Fragile Five” economies, but is now the world’s 4th largest economy and on track to become the 3rd largest within two years, with a $5 trillion GDP target. Goyal credited reforms like transparent auctions, corruption-free governance, rising forex reserves, record-low inflation, and strong banking capacity for this growth. He also emphasized India’s growing global respect, as countries actively seek free trade agreements with New Delhi.
