On Monday, Sept. 22, both McDowell County Democratic Party and NAACP McDowell County welcomed leaders from the North Carolina Poor People’s Campaign.

The McDowell County Democratic Party and the NAACP McDowell County welcomed Pastor Joel Simpson, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Taylorsville, Pastor Darryl Dayson of South Tryon Community United Methodist Church in Charlotte, along with Leslie Boyd and Evan Richardson of whom are all leaders in the North Carolina Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, according to a news release.
