Raising concerns for India’s first greenfield finance hub in Gujarat, a PwC India report released Monday revealed that attrition rates at Global Capacity Centres (GCCs) in Gift City were as high as 30–40 per cent. The report cites low salaries and a lack of interest among seasoned professionals to relocate as key pain points.
“HR executives from financial services organisations that have set up operations in Gift City said that the attrition rates in GCCs located in Gift City were high, ranging from 30–40 per cent, compared to 10–20 per cent in metro cities.
