BIDDEFORD-- A man from Ellsworth was badly injured after getting struck by a vehicle last night on the Maine turnpike. According to the Department of Public Safety, a man from West Virginia was traveling on the turnpike through Biddeford when he struck something around 8:30 Sunday night. He initially thought it was a deer, but after checking his trucks on-board camera, he realized he had struck a pedestrian who was running across the turnpike. Troopers went to the scene and located 39 year old Jared Felling of Ellsworth in a tall marshy area. He had serious injuries to his legs and head and was also in the early stages of hypothermia.
