When Ingrid Echeverria arrived in the United States from El Salvador at the age of 12, she had no idea her journey would lead her Seton Hall Law and eventually to the U.S. Supreme Court bar.

As immigrant communities in New Jersey face urgent legal challenges, her expertise provides support to many. This Hispanic Heritage Month highlights the contributions of individuals like Echeverria in providing legal guidance and advocacy.

Echeverria’s mother, Miriam Flores, immigrated years earlier by herself and worked as a nanny for two and a half years until she could secure legal residency for her children through an employment-based petition.
