News that Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing operations will resume in the coming days has been described as a "light at the end of the tunnel" for the car giant and its connected supply chain. The company has been working to get its online systems back up and running since the devastating cyber attack that halted world wide operations four weeks ago.
In recent days JLR has announced several sections of its digital platform are up and running again, meaning a backlog of payments worth hundreds of pounds could be cleared, and some manufacturing operations could start again soon. The announcements come as the government revealed plans for a £1.5 billion loan which would allow JLR to bring some financial relief for its badly impacted supply chain.
