Let’s call this week a look at animation with two entries to check out.

“Marvel Zombies,” is sort of self-explanatory. Seriously? Who wouldn’t be thrilled by the prospect of a zombiefied Captain America?

He’s not the focus, however. Neither are many of Marvel’s so-called “A-listers.”

This incredibly engaging, incredibly gory (not for the kiddos) and sometimes chilling miniseries could have easily have been an animated film, but the powers that be at Marvel Animation elected to break it into four installments. Still, each episode stands on its own.

The focus: Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani), Ironheart/Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) and Hawkeye/Kate Bishop (Hailee Stansfield), and that heightens interest on its own.
