China is known for its infrastructure marvels. It boasts of having the world’s largest dams. This time it has unveiled the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge, the world’s tallest bridge.

Built at 625 metres (2,050 ft) above the Beipan River, the bridge has cut down the travel time across the canyon from two hours to just two minutes.

Dubbed “the Earth’s crack”, the bridge is 2,890 meters long with a main span of 1,420 meters. This bridge sets the record for both the tallest bridge in the world and the world’s largest span bridge built in a mountainous area, News18 report said.
