Two scenic tree tunnels in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula will soon transform into vibrant corridors of autumn color, offering visitors a chance to experience picturesque fall drives.
Located about an hour apart, Covered Road and Covered Drive showcase the region’s seasonal beauty, according to Jesse Wiederhold, spokesman for Visit Keweenaw.
“The Keweenaw boasts two beautiful tunnels of trees,” Wiederhold said.
With the Upper Peninsula typically reaching peak fall colors in early October, there’s still time to plan a trip to these scenic routes. The U.P. is traditionally the first part of Michigan to display autumn’s full color palette.
