Litchfield, N.Y. — An Oneida County man was killed this weekend when his motorcycle crashed into a tree and caught fire in Herkimer County, according to State Police.
Around 1:40 p.m. Saturday, troopers responded to the crash on Route 51 in the town of Litchfield, according to Trooper Jennifer Jiron, a spokesperson for the State Police.
Garrett M. Bramer, of Deansboro, was riding a 2024 BMW S1000R south on Route 51 at an unsafe speed when he missed a turn, Jiron said. The motorcycle went off the road on the east shoulder and hit a tree, she said.
On impact, the motorcycle became fully engulfed in flames, Jiron said.
Bramer was pronounced dead at the scene, she said.
