The Olympics are the culmination of a lifelong dream for most athletes. But not for bobsledders.
Bobsledding is one of the rare Winter Olympic sports where athletes are introduced to training later in life.
Why? Proximity.
Chris Fogt is a three-time Olympian, Olympic silver medalist, and the USA Olympic bobsledding coach.
"Bobsled is not a sport most people do growing up," he said. "There are only two tracks in North America: Here in Park City, Utah, and out in Lake Placid, New York."
Bobsledding is a transfer sport for most athletes, meaning they've achieved elite status in another sport before transitioning to the sliding track.
