Government job aspirants protesting against the alleged paper leak in Uttarakhand called off their strike on Monday until October 10 after Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met them on the eighth day of the protest and promised to fulfil their demand for a CBI probe.

The protest at Parade Ground in Dehradun started after allegations emerged that the question paper of the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) examination conducted on September 21 had leaked.

The allegation was first made by Uttarakhand Swabhiman Morcha president Bobby Panwar, who claimed that half an hour after the exam started at 11 am, the question paper leaked.
