The Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit (LMJC) District Attorney’s Office says a man has been sentenced to almost 70 years for two separate incidents of domestic violence.

The LMJC DA’s Office said 43-year-old Jarvis Jackson was sentenced to 68 years in the Department of Corrections on Wednesday, September 24.

Jackson was convicted of covering an ex-girlfriend in rubbing alcohol on February 3, 2024 and setting her on fire.

The victim was temporarily blinded, had extensive burns, and severe facial injuries but was able to get to a neighbor’s home for help.

The woman later identified Jackson as her attacker, detailing years of abuse and testifying at his trial.

Jackson was also convicted of a second incident involving a different woman he married in May of 2024, her son, and her dog.
