TOM Brady has compared an unexpected Tampa Bay Buccaneers star to golfing icon Bryson DeChambeau.

The legendary quarterback was on commentary for the Buccaneers ' clash against the Philadelphia Eagles yesterday.

Brady, 48, made the surprise comparison live on the Fox NFL broadcast as Chase McLaughlin, 29, launched a long-range field goal.

The goal kicker recorded a successful field goal from 65 yards out.

His successful kick brought an end to the first half against the reigning Super Bowl champions.

The Buccaneers went into half-time 24-6 down.

"Great snap . He just absolutely nukes it," Brady said. " Bryson DeChambeau style."

"65 ho-hum and let's go to half with a little bit of momentum."
