The Leh Apex Body (LAB) called off proposed talks on Tuesday (September 30, 2025) with MHA officials, Cherring Dorjay Lakruk, co-convenor of LAB said, as the demands for the judicial enquiry into the death of four people on September 24 was not met.

It said it will stay away from talks with the High-Powered Committee of the Home Ministry till normalcy is restored in Ladakh and a conducive atmosphere is created.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said the Government has always been open for dialogues on Ladakh matters with Apex Body Leh (ABL) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) at any time.
