Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief Mohsin Naqvi has reportedly expressed his readiness to hand over the Asia Cup winner’s medals to the Indian team, but with one condition: he wants a ‘formal function’ to be arranged for the same. According to a report in Cricbuzz , Naqvi has revealed his condition to the Asia Cup organisers, but it’s unlikely that such a function would be arranged, which means the ‘logjam’ is set to continue for now.

Naqvi is also the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman and an influential politician in Pakistan. It was not surprising, thus, that he didn’t relent to India’s demands at the post-match presentation ceremony after the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
