INTERLOCHEN — Consumers Energy will perform overnight substation maintenance next week to improve electric service in the Interlochen area.
According to a Sept. 29 news release, the work will temporarily interrupt power to about 1,000 homes and businesses along J. Maddy Parkway between and south of Duck and Green lakes from 11 p.m. Oct. 10 until as late as 6 a.m. the next morning.
The project is part of Consumers Energy’s Reliability Roadmap , which aims to reduce the number and length of power outages across Michigan.
