PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A young motorcyclist is dead after a crash in north Phoenix on Sunday afternoon.

Around 3:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Cave Creek and Bell roads for reports of a crash.

When they arrived, officers found a teen boy who was seriously hurt. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. The teen is yet to be identified.

Preliminary information suggests the teen was driving a motorcycle south on Cave Creek Road when a car made a left turn onto Grovers Avenue in front of him.

The other driver was an elderly woman. She was taken to the hospital as well, but had non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are still investigating a crash. It is unclear if anyone will face charges.
