VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Virginia Beach police have made an arrest in a shooting on North Great Neck Road that killed one person.

Officers responded to the 400 block of the street at 2:15 a.m. on Saturday for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they found one person suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was then pronounced deceased at the scene. Police later identified the deceased man as 20-year-old Juelle Morton of Newport News on Monday.

While they were investigating the incident, detectives identified Cesar Bermudez Evans, 21, of Norfolk, as the suspect. He was taken into custody on Sunday and charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
