THIS is the terrifying moment another Spanish holiday destination is flooded as storms continue to ravage the country.

Spain's eastern region of Valencia was put under red alert today, a year after biblical downpours killed more than 230 people there.

The country's meteorological agency AEMET warned of "extraordinary danger" and a "very complicated situation" as storms pummelled the region .

Almost 200mm of rain fell in under eight hours, it added.

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez also urged locals to follow guidance issued by emergency services in a bid to avoid last year's devastation.
