The Somerset Briar Jumpers continued their winning streak on Friday with a 42-6 Homecoming victory over the Hornets of Metcalfe County. Despite accumulating nearly 90 yards worth of penalties, the Jumpers' offense found their groove in the second half and after another great performance behind Kris Hughes Somerset prevailed.
After a failed Metcalfe drive started off the game, the Jumpers would quickly put the first points on the board after a Hughes pass to Xavier Wooldridge for a 41-yard score. Following a Julian Carroll PAT, Somerset held a 7-0 edge with not even two minutes gone from the clock.
