Tulsa police are investigating a shooting Sunday night near 60th and Peoria that left a 21-year-old man dead.
The man was walking in the area with friends around 9 p.m. Sept. 28, according to police. As they approached a group hanging out around their cars in a nearby retail parking lot, police said someone in that crowd opened fire.
The victim was struck as the shooter fired multiple rounds from a pistol, causing the man to collapse as the crowd in the parking lot scattered, according to TPD.
One of the man's friends returned to the cleared scene and transported him to the hospital, where he died from the gunshot injuries. The victim has not yet been named by police.
