Millions of pounds of corndog and sausage-on-a-stick products are being recalled because they could be contaminated with pieces of wood.

Texas company Hillshire Brands announced the recall of 58 million pounds of State Fair brand corndogs and Jimmy Dean sausage-on-a-stick varieties. The recall was posted over the weekend by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

This comes after multiple consumer complaints, including five injuries.

An investigation conducted by Hillshire found that wooden sticks were entering the production process before the meat was covered in batter.

The recalled products were packaged between March 17 and Sept. 26. Establishment number “EST-582” or “P-894” is printed on the packaging.
