CENTERVIEW, Mo. (KCTV) - A Missouri man has been charged with rape after what has been deemed a suspicious fire destroyed the scene of the crime.

Johnson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Friday, Sept. 26, indicate that Michael K. Flores, 43, of Centerview, has been charged with rape.

A probable cause statement filed by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office revealed that just after 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, law enforcement officials received a report about a possible sex crime.
