The Philadelphia Eagles won’t have to face one of the best playmakers in the league after an NFC East rival star went down with a serious injury.

Malik Nabers, the New York Giants’ star wide receiver, suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Nabers, a 2024 Pro Bowl selection, was carted off during New York’s 21-18 win over the Chargers. Nabers came down hard on the MetLife Stadium turf after leaping to try to make a catch.

Nabers was a Pro Bowl pick as a rookie in 2024 with 109 catches for 1,204 yards and seven touchdowns. The former LSU star was expected to be the top target for rookie QB Jaxson Dart.

Without Nabers, Dart and the Giants will have to turn to wide receivers Wan’Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton
