DIET Jammu establishes Counselling Cell to strengthen mental health, psychosocial support in schools

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 29: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Jammu under the guidance of its Principal R. G Dogra, has established a Counselling Cell dedicated to the mental health, emotional wellbeing and holistic development of school students and teachers across Jammu district.

This initiative comes in pursuance of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020; Manodarpan Guidelines of the Ministry of Education, UMEED draft Guidelines on Suicide Prevention and the Supreme Court Guidelines 2025 regarding mental health and wellbeing of students.
