Western North Carolina high school football is into the back half of the 2025 season .

As teams dig into conference play, several players are putting up numbers that could be worthy of an All-WNC Defensive Player of the Year honor. These 10 candidates have been the best of the first half of the year, but that doesn't mean another player can't make a case in the back half of the season.

It's time for the fans to help decide. Voting for the Ingles WNC football midseason Defensive Player of the Year will run through Friday at noon.
