Bhubaneswar: Two senior IAS officers from the Odisha cadre have been appointed to key positions in the Central Government. Samarth Verma (2011 batch) and Swadha Dev Singh (2014 batch) will soon join on Central deputation.

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) issued official letters on Monday to Odisha Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, directing him to relieve the officers within three weeks for their postings at the Centre.

According to the letters, Samarth Verma has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Delhi. His tenure will last for five years from the date he assumes charge or until further orders.
