The Pacific Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) of Coronado recently held an event in partnership with The Bower Coronado to introduce their new Board of Directors and discuss the organization’s goals. PAWS, which was founded in Coronado in 2003, has continued to grow as a community resource dedicated to the welfare and advocacy for animals. As an animal shelter, PAWS welcomes animals and helps them find forever homes while providing medical care and rehabilitation services to ensure they have the best opportunities to lead long, healthy lives.
PAWS President Greg Curtin, PhD, Executive Director Jackie Williams, and Senior Manager of Veterinary Services Daniel Barbour, DVM, each spoke at the event. Curtin began by introducing the organization’s board members, which include Stanley Salinda, M.D.
