As a disappointing and surprising September comes to a close, Clemson football is refreshed after its bye week, eager to embrace the challenge of an eight-game season, starting this Saturday against North Carolina (2-2).

Through their first four games, Clemson is 1-3, the worst start of Dabo Swinney's head coaching tenure and their worst start overall since 2004, in Swinney's second year as the Tigers' wide receivers coach.

"We got a chance to play, and coach our way out of a hole that we put ourselves in," Dabo Swinney said Tuesday. "Everybody understands that."
