The Buffalo Bills are signing a new punter in the wake of an injury to Cameron Johnston. After a tryout on Monday, former San Francisco 49ers punter Mitch Wishnowsky is being added to the active roster while Johnston goes to injured reserve.

Johnston may have been in line to be replaced even before the injury. He was signed just one game into the season to replace Brad Robbins, but he didn’t do much better. Johnston actually had a worse net average at 37.9 yards per punt, dismal by today’s NFL standards.

More to come.
