Candidates running in this year’s election for local offices in Warren County reported slow campaign finance activity over the summer.

The candidates filed reports with the Virginia Department of Elections earlier this month. The reports covered activity through most of the summer, from July 1 through Aug. 31.

Tony F. Carter and Bryan Scott Turnmeyer are running for the Happy Creek District seat on the Board of Supervisors.

Carter’s campaign started the reporting period with a balance of $2,723.78. He reported a $500 contribution from The Apple House restaurant/gift shop in Warren County during the activity period. Carter has raised $4,257 this election cycle since January. He has spent $1,610.79 this cycle and reports a current balance of $2,646.21.
