A motorist was killed Tuesday in a collision involving a car and tractor-trailer in Jurupa Valley.

The fatality occurred just before 2 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Agua Mansa Road and Brown Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Sgt. Andrew Sullivan said the truck and car impacted for reasons still under investigation, leaving the smaller vehicle significantly damaged.

Sullivan said paramedics pronounced the victim, whose identity was not immediately released, dead at the scene minutes after the crash.

“The driver of the semi remained at the scene and was cooperative,” the sergeant said.

The trucker, also not identified, was not injured and was not arrested.

“It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were factors in the collision,” Sullivan said.
