Police were called to break up the crowd at 5pm on September 26 after reports of an assault at Sussex Street, Cabramatta, in Sydney's south west.

Investigators were told that the crowd was demanding their money back after allegedly falling victim to a ticketing scam on social media.

The 20-year-old man was accused of selling "a number of fraudulent tickets to a music festival".
