ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- St. Joseph County Probate Court Magistrate Suddenly Resigns. Ashley Colborn served as the "child in need of services magistrate" since January 2019. In a letter dated yesterday and shared with ABC57 today, Colburn cites treatment from Probate Court Judge Loris Zappia as the reason for her resignation.

Colborn saying in part quote: "The manner in which i was treated today by yourself was highly inappropriate and lacked professionalism. It lacked the patience, dignity, and courtesy that is required of judicial officers in our service to the public."
