Michael Brandsegg-Nygård again showed off what a natural shooter he is as the Detroit Red Wings rebounded with an exhibition victory.

The team's first-round pick from 2024 (No. 15 overall) redirected a pass from Dylan Larkin into the net of the Chicago Blackhawks (2-2-0) at United Center on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The Wings (3-3-0) went on to win, 3-1, after dropping three straight games, including a dud the previous night at home.

Brandsegg-Nygård, who turns 20 on Oct. 5, was in the slot to one-time the puck midway through the first period. It was his second goal and fourth point in five preseason games.
