WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Postal Service is rolling out redesigned, technology-forward lobbies nationwide, a modernization push that officials say will make post office visits faster, easier and more intuitive.

USPS said in a news release Tuesday that the refreshed spaces add around‑the‑clock smart lockers so customers can receive packages directly to secure, self‑service units and pick them up any time. The agency is also expanding and upgrading self‑service kiosks that let customers weigh items, print labels, purchase supplies and mail packages, changes USPS says have cut lobby wait times by 40% at renovated locations.
