BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Biloxi High School hosted ‘Be The Light,’ encouraging students to be a light in someone else’s darkness.
“So, this is our third year of the event, and we just want to bring the community together to honor those who have committed suicide and to show others that there is hope in this world for them,” Campus Service Council Vice President Aubrey Dinh-Nguyen said.
Put on by the Campus Service Council, the goal is to get students connected with each other, as well as inform students of mental health services and providers.
“I think it can show them that even when they may not think the best of themselves, there’s people who do, and that they will always have a friend at this school that they can rely on or talk to,” Dinh-Nguyen said.
