The New York Yankees have their backs against the wall right away in this MLB postseason after dropping Game 1 of the Wild Card Series against the Boston Red Sox 3-1 on Tuesday night. Now, the Yankees have to win the next two games to avoid elimination at the hands of their most hated rival in front of their home fans.

Tuesday night's game was a pitcher's duel between two aces at the top of their game. Max Fried was stellar for New York all night long, while Garrett Crochet recovered from an early Anthony Volpe home run to turn in one of his best performances of his breakout season.
