Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has claimed there is “no question” he played a role in US President Donald Trump’s unresolved Gaza War peace plan.

The US President recently announced a ceasefire proposal that he thrashed out with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Hamas has not yet accepted the deal, but the terror group would be forced to surrender, disarm and hand over all power in the Gaza Strip if it accepts the proposal.

Mr Albanese has since insisted his decision to recognise Palestine at the UN helped pave the way for President Trump’s plan.
