Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), Adani Defence, Tata Advanced Systems are scrambling to grab the Rs 15,000 crore project of the development of the fifth-generation stealth fighter jet, (the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA). According to ANI report, these firms put bids to partner with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the design and development of the aircraft, whose deadline was September 30.

For purpose, the requirement for the Expression of Interest (EoI) was pitched up by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), the DRDO arm overseeing the AMCA programme.
