US President Donald Trump while addressing the nation’s top military officials said that Pakistan Field Marshall Asim Munir credited him for “saving a million lives" during the recent conflict between India and Pakistan.

“The Prime Minister of Pakistan was here along with the Field Marshall, a very important person and he was here three days ago. And I did not even realise it as beautiful as he said it. He said ‘this man saved millions of lives because he saved the war from going on, President Trump saved millions and millions of lives’ and ‘that was a bad war’", Trump quoted Munir as saying.

“I was very honoured and loved the way he said it. Susie Wiles was there and she said that was the most beautiful thing," Trump said, referring to the White House Chief of Staff’s reaction to Munir’
