Kharge was admitted to MS Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge (83 years old), was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru on Tuesday. His son and Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge informed about this on X on Wednesday.

In a post Priyank wrote "Mallikarjun Kharge has been advised to get a pacemaker and he has been admitted to the hospital as per prior planning. His condition is stable and he is feeling better. Grateful for your concern and good wishes."

Before Priyank's statement, party sources told PTI that Kharge was taken to MS Ramaiah Hospital in Bengaluru on Tuesday after complaining of fever and leg pain. Doctors there are taking care of him.
