Though there's nothing scary about the Cookie Monster, for some reason, October is National Cookie Month.

While it seems odd to tie these delicious baked treats to the spookiest month of the year, we believe these oval discs are still worth as much celebration as anyone wants to give them. And it also makes for a fun time to try new cookies and to share your favorite with friends and family.

The Augusta Chronicle wants to know where is your favorite place to buy cookies. The Chronicle staff has compiled a list of some of the local, stand-alone bakeries in the Augusta area, so vote for your favorite.
