CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Old Ivy Road bridge remains closed after being struck by a commercial vehicle Monday afternoon, and the impact is being felt well beyond traffic delays.

Virginia Department of Transportation officials said surrounding roads have since reopened, but the bridge will stay closed indefinitely while crews determine the extent of the damage and what repairs are needed.
