New Delhi: Star India explosive batter Abhishek Sharma has set a new rating points record for batters in the ICC Men’s T20I Player rankings following his Player of the Series effort in the Asia Cup 2025 held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The 25-year-old left-hander surpassed England’s Dawid Malan’s previous best rating of 919 in 2020 by 12 points, reaching 931. After scoring 61 runs against Sri Lanka, Abhishek achieved the milestone. He finished the tournament with 926 ratings, 82 more than Phil Salt of England who is in the second place. Abhishek also played a brilliant 75 runs knock against Bangladesh
