DECATUR, Ill. (WAND) - October starts off much warmer and drier than average across Central Illinois, just like the month of September.

We'll see more clouds around today, but it'll still be hot with highs in the upper-80s. Luckily, we fall back into the 50s tonight.

It remains hot through Monday with highs Thursday and Friday near 90° and upper-80s likely this weekend into Monday.

While the Futurecast hints at a few isolated showers Thursday night and Friday, I'm not buying into it just yet.

Our best chance of a few showers and storms will be Monday evening into Tuesday morning with a cold front.
